We are proud to be a ‘” A Dreams Begin Here Magnet School”.  We provide a rigorous and diverse curriculum with an emphasis on math, science and pre-engineering that enhances the appreciation of lifelong learning.

Our vision is to create a scientifically literate population that can thrive in a world increasingly driven by information and technology. Our magnet program excites students’ natural curiosities and encourages them to learn. Students have many opportunities to learn through hands on instruction and experiences in a variety of settings. We offer a fully equipped brain researched Fast ForWord Reading Computer Lab, a standards-based supporting science lab and a state of the art Pre-Engineering Lab. Sallye B. Mathis is the “continuity program” for Kirby Middle School.
